25 de Março is one of the largest outdoor shopping centers in South America. Buyers come here from all over Brazil (and South America) to purchase goods for their stores, in their hometown. Almost everything is sold here, accessories, clothes, textiles, sunglasses, kitchen supplies, electronics, party decorations, kids toys and much more. Every day of the week the streets are filled with people carrying huge bags of stuff they just bought and venders shouting out their best deals. There is a metro station right at the heart of the commerce; this is the best way to get there, as there is no place to park. Be alert though, because the low prices attract all types of people, so don’t walk around with too much jewelry, cameras, or your Louis Vuitton purse. Low profile is key.

As I said, there are all types of shopping here, but speaking from a girls point of view, for me, the jewelry and accessories are the most worth it. Taking a trip here is a lot of fun, because you can buy so much with so little!! Oh and also, make sure you have your negotiating skills on, because you should never pay the asked price, you can always get a better deal.

Thanks for the info
